This guide has not been written in isolation, and in fact relies to a very large extent on previous work done in this field. Since it is the properties of the traffic simulator that are accessible to us, and that allow us to tune it in various ways, these properties will form a central part of this description, and will be boldfaced whenever they are used. This guide will attempt to summarize our current knowledge about the traffic simulator, both in terms of how it works as a whole, and also in terms of what each of its individual properties do.
